Hi Shawn , one of the best video's you have made , there have been quiet a few to be fair! . I'm a left currently playing off 8 but struggling with balance and a clean swing as my most recent lesson was really around a tight 'chicken wing' on my trail arm. I cannot wait to try this drill and swing change tonight! . Please keep producing such amazing content and showing the routine for lefty's is a massive help . Superb!

  2. Hi Shawn, love the content. I was just curious, do you play your irons slightly flatter with a strong grip?

I’ve always had a strong grip and my irons miss is left and my driver right. Wondering if it was worth going flatter to straighten that out 😅

  3. "Good miss" is a running joke among our foursome. Good, (pause) Miss! I apologize in advance if anyone is offended by our pun.

  4. During the years I always notice a thing in your iron swing.
If you put a laser pointer on the shaft and look where it is pointing on top of your iron swing its always pointing to your right (nornal swing). Your hands are more behind your feet (if you put a vertical plane there) compared to the club head. The same extra in when you finish your swing. The club head is way out of on your swing plane when you start and finish.
Is this intentional from your side to accomplish something or just the way you swing?
Edit: I have tried to mimic that but it feels very strange for me. I cannot make the clube shaft go more than parallell in the back swing. /All the best /Fred

Hey Shawn. I watched u hit balls on the range in Florida back in the Natural Golf days (late 90's I think) both righty & lefty. Very impressive then and still impressed now!

  6. I just wanted to comment and say your tips on strengthening the grip have made a ton of difference for my game. I was very unsure about making the change. I was told to weaken my grip from numerous instructors. And I was suffering a two way miss then, and my 7 iron was anywhere from 130-165 depending on my timing. Strengthened my grip back up, and now I'm consistently getting 170 yard carry 7 irons, with the same and even faster clubhead speeds with less effort, and taking the right side miss out of the equation. Not going back this time!

  7. Jeff Keener says:

Sean, can you describe weight and/or pressure distribution in the backswing, at the top, etc? Thanks!

  8. Kenny Swann says:

I’m still trying to learn to hit from the right side, let alone be ambidextrous!😳 I cringed every time you swung because the down the line angle made it seem you were going to hit that GC Hawk.
