TaylorMade P790 Irons Review | Should You Upgrade?
Introducing the TaylorMade P790, now better than ever.
New for 2023 from TaylorMade, the P790s have been individually designed, offering superb performance for tour pros, all the way to amateurs. These clubs feature TaylorMade’s SpeedFoam Air and their Thru-Slot-Speed-Pocket, both of which were features on the previous P790 models.
Although there are similarities, lots of new technology will take the performance of these to a new level. The new AI-optimised internal design enhances forgiveness, consistency, and control, with a specific design in each iron. The thick-thin back wall design improves forgiveness and CG positioning, making for better performance on the course. These are a great option if you want increased distance, while maintaining control. Plus, they look stunning.

I am currently playing the STEALTH irons….my handicap this year is around 6-8…..I like the forgiveness but am wondering if you think the P-790 would be good for my game or if i am good enough to play them….i love the look of the P-790… would be looking to get 5-PW , AW with 1 degree up and midsize grips and prefer the graphite shafts…thx…cheers from Canada

Nice, I just got fitted for these and I was amazed at the dispersion and consistency. 2 hours of hitting and I had the tightest groups ever. I went with a full set of 790's and my only concern is at the top of the bag as I wasn't able to test the 8-PW. Is the gapping consistent from what you saw? It seems as if the scoring irons are more traditionally lofted, did you find that a problem?
How do these interact with the turf? Asking as I have a steeper swing
