This is interesting as I've always found it difficult to initiate the downswing as I'm too analytical! I remember Vivian Saunders would recommend starting the down swing planting the left heal. I like Dennis's left thumb idea but I'm thinking it's not helping me to square up the club face hence still a slight slice/fade.
