The PGA TOUR heads to Blaine, Minnesota, this week for the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities. This is the second-to-last event of the regular season, which means the focus for players is on their final FedExCup placement. Only the top 70 in the FedExCup Standings will qualify for the Playoffs. Justin Thomas will be in Minnesota this week. Despite struggling to just three top-10 finishes on TOUR this year, he’s had five top-five FedExCup finishes in the past six seasons. He sits 75th in the FedExCup Standings and will need a strong performance this week to qualify for the Playoffs. Tony Finau returns to defend his 3M Open title this week. He’s won twice on TOUR this season and has four wins in his last 25 starts. Emiliano Grillo will also be teeing it up at TPC Twin Cities after winning the Charles Schwab Challenge in May. He claimed T2 last year at the 3M Open and played very well for a T6 finish las week at Royal Liverpool. Sepp Straka will also be in Minnesota this week. He’ll be feeling confident after winning the John Deere Classic two weeks ago and playing brilliantly for a T2 finish at The Open last week. Cameron Young, Hideki Matsuyama and Sungjae Im will also be looking for a win at TPC Twin Cities.

  1. Fabulous golf courses in this part of America. Look at these greens.

  2. Just wondering how long a 18 hole round of TV golf is in comparison to everyday 18 holes? Thinking waiting for cameraman to set up his tripod and such before every shot. … an extra hour or more added on to an already 4+ hours of everyday 18 holes. …. long F'ing day

What a surreal contrast from the wind-lashed coast of Scotland last week to the lush inviting fairways of the Minneapolis Suburbs.
